Satnam Singh, First basketball player from India drafted into the NBA. He is the 52 pick in the NBA draft. the Dallas Mavericks announced Thursday night regarding Satnam pick to their side.He is from a small village in Punjab where people barely know about NBA. He is just 19 years old but massive 7 ft. 2 in. tall and weighs 290 lb. He is massive and perfectly suit for NBA.

Satnam played for local clubs and national junior team which is qualified to play in the FIBA Asia Under-16 Championship in Malaysia. In June 2010, At the age of 14 Satnam led Punjab’s state youth team to a national championship. Basketball Federation of India sent Satnam to the NBA Basketball Without Borders camp in Singapore. There satnam met other NBA players and coaches and become one of the 44 best basketball prospects from Asia and he is the youngest player of all.

Satnam moved to US in 2010 to get trained at the IMG Academy in Florida. Now is only 19 years selected in NBA draft, There is no doubt he can develop more skills by the age of 22-23 to excel in NBA and will become valuable asset to Dallas Mavericks.
